They prefer to roam free, but sometimes gather into packs; others still become mentors to young Gabumon, forming a "parent" and "cub"-like relationship. Like Greymon, Garurumon's evolutionary success has led to the development of numerous subspecies. Similarly, Garurumon-species reoccur throughout the Digital World's folklore and history, usually alongside some type of Greymon.
Attacks: Garurumon are lean, speedy, and agile Digimon who are counted among the fastest and most nimble of Beast Digimon (their only rivals are Gaogamon). They have strong jaws, and the ability to use both Ice and Flame attacks. Garurumon's fur is composed of a sharp metallic substance called "mythril", which serves as a kind of metallic armor and makes certain edges on Garurumon's body sharp.
Fox Fire - Breathes a blast of blue, high-temperature fire at its opponent.
Body Blow - Runs its opponent down with all its strength, lacerating them with its razor-sharp fur.
Ice Cannon - Breathes out a blast of super-cold air, flash freezing moisture in the air into cannonball-like projectiles of ice.
A Garurumon which possesses the X-Antibody has undergone further mutations, increasing its fighting potential and adapting it to better live in colder climates. Its mythril fur has hardened further, making it as defensive as a Machine-species' armor, while the fur on its shoulders has transformed completely into metallic blades. It still retains its trademark speed, despite its body having become heavier as a result of the mutations.
