Locations/Major NPCs
[ Locations and Major NPCs]
The Digital World is a vast place, filled with all manner of creatures and different sights to see, with three continents: Server, Cloud, and Directory. Since the threat of ALIAS began, however, contact between many of the different areas of the Digital World has been cut off. Those who try to sail to these places are never heard from again, and none of the means of transporting oneself to the main continents appear to be active.
Our story focuses on a small island floating in the Net Ocean, the Digital World’s vast sea. Its name is Access Island, and there, we might find the Digital World’s hope. The island is home to both settlers and natives, as well as the original headquarters of Tamer Union, which has been put back into service by several Digimon seeking to restore the stability of the Digital World and worlds beyond.
[ Access Island ]
[ Access City ]
[ Access City ]
Located at the very center of Access Island, we find Access City, the location of Tamer Union. Ages ago, this was where people from across the multiverse lived and worked with their Digimon partners, before it all mysteriously ended. Since then, settlers from other lands have rebuilt the city here thanks to the actions of Mayor Ganemon, while Tamer Union has been restored thanks to the actions of two intrepid Digimon named Sunflowmon and Nanomon, and their allies. With Digimon and offworlders once again sharing the same space, expectations and tensions are both high to see what kind of difference can be made.
Located at the center of the city is Tamer Union HQ, a large multi-building compound that serves as Tamers' first introduction to the Digital World. In addition to the Digital Gate, where Tamers first emerge, and buildings for processing new arrivals, one can find numerous facilities to facilitate one's growth as Tamers and advance Tamer Union's cause. Training facilities have a advanced holographic interface that can simulate any environment, while laboratories can break down the mysteries of data and information into their rawest form for study. Meanwhile, the medical ward is always looking for new medics and healers, especially from off world! Furthermore, there's also a cafeteria for anyone who decides to work or volunteer here, as well as a common room to commiserate. Finally, deeper into the compound, one can find the individual offices for each of Tamer Union's most important members—who knows, they might be willing to give you one if you make a name for yourself in the organization.
Further on, one can find the Residential Area, where housing for the city’s inhabitants can be found. Each new Tamer is given a fully customizable home, though you may need to work a bit to expand it!
In the Commercial District, all manner of businesses can be found, including shops, restaurants, and sources of entertainment. These include:
The northernmost building is City Hall, a large government-style building where the mayor conducts business and Sheriff Tyrannomon and his deputies have their headquarters. Visitors to City Hall are often greeted by the numerous Zenimon and KoZenimon workers, and biweekly, Ganemon, Tyrannomon, and all the city's business owners get together to speak of matters of import. You can also find the city's bank inside.
To the west, one can enjoy Access Park, an area for Digimon and offworlders both to enjoy, with its wide open areas to run and explore and lake to swim or fish in.
Despite only recently being resettled, Access City is truly a modern city thanks in part to Mayor Ganemon and his investments.

A young and sunny-dispositioned Digimon who hails from a place on the Directory mainland known as the "Elysium Flowerfields". Sunflowmon is in many ways the heart and soul of Tamer Union, having spearheaded the efforts to revive it. She grew up on tales of the “heroes” from other worlds, and is set to make it so that those times may come again.

Sunflowmon’s best friend and the brains behind Tamer Union. Nanomon is a genius who successfully got the interdimensional technology of Tamer Union working again, though much of it is still beyond him. Nanomon is a bit of an awkward nerd, but is generally more approachable than other members of his species.

The training instructor for Tamer Union. This proud lion is ready to whip both Tamers and Digimon into shape, though his constant dad jokes may be a bit off-putting to those seeking to sharpen their skills.

The heads of the medical ward at Tamer Union. Mummymon is a brilliant physician with incredible insight into Digimon anatomy… and many, strange ideas about that of offworlders. Thankfully, his assistant Bitmon is there to provide some sense.

The ‘mon who resurrected Access City. Mayor Ganemon has a stake in everything in Access City, and cares deeply for its inhabitants… so long as they can earn him BITS. He’s more pleased than anyone about Tamer Union’s revival, believing that these travelers from other worlds will provide new opportunities for him and his businesses.

The chief peacekeeper in Access City, Sheriff Tyrannomon keeps its inhabitants safe from threats without and within along with his team of Gaossmon. He’s more than a bit wary of Tamer Union, and believes that these Tamers are going to be more trouble than they’re worth.

The owner of Nanimon’s Goods and Sundries, one of the most successful shops in Access City without Ganemon’s money involved. Tamers can find all sorts of goods for adventuring here, including medical supplies, tools for camping, and so on and so forth. For more information, please check the Items/Rewards Page.

A mysterious shopkeeper and her assistant who run a store in the city’s outskirts called Witch's Way. Witchmon promises she can attain things for Tamers who are willing to deal with her, and distributes them each month with Uver’s help. For more information, please check the Items/Rewards Page.
[ Console Station ]
Located just outside Access City, forming a ring around it, is Console Station. Here, Trailmon are always coming and going, carrying goods and travelers to various locations around the island. You can use it to hitch a ride to just about anywhere on Access Island, or you can simply enjoy the ride, as all the seating is premium on these trains' railcars.
Travellers can enjoy a movie while they wait to reach their destination, get a bite to eat, or even play games while the trains are moving! What's more, Console Station is always on the lookout for people to work, whether it be to work on the rails themselves or to serve passengers in the cars.

The boss of Console Station and the biggest train among trains. He’s always making sure everything is running smoothly, whether it be on the rails or behind the scenes. No one’s quite sure how he gets around everywhere so quickly, or how he manages to sneak up on people unawares. He and Mayor Ganemon are old friends.
[ West Access Island ]
[ Panorama Plains ]
[ Panorama Plains ]
Panorama Plains is a vast area stretching across most of the western side of Access Island. Here, one can find fertile fields, melodious meadows, and expansive grasslands. This is also the center for most of Access Island's agriculture and villages dot the landscape, but be wary, as there are plenty of wildlands too.
To the south, one can find Function Farms, where a lot of the aforementioned agriculture goes on. Much of the island's produce is grown here, from more traditional plants to the aptly named "Meat Plants" that serve as an alternative for predatory Digimon or anyone with, let's say, unique dietary needs. The growing season lasts year-round, and they're always looking for farmhands to work the fields, milk the Bullmon (don't question it), and perform whatever tasks need doing around the farm.
Stretching through the majority of the plains is the Grid Grasslands. Many Digimon villages can be found here, but the majority of the Grasslands belong to wild Digimon, most of which are of the Beast-species variety. Those who have the courage to brave the wildlands can help keep the lines of trade safe between villages, or serve as protection for any other sort of travelers. Rare herbs and other plants also grow here, which can be exchanged for BITs in villages and Access City.
Finally, the northern edge of Panorama Plains gives way to RGB Ridge, a chain of hills that frame the Plains just before giving way to the nearby mountains. The ground here is a resplendent array of colors, beautiful enough to justify the trip here alone, but those who need a better reason can come for the rare and valuable gemstones that can be found on the Ridge's surface. Be careful, though, for many Bird-species Digimon consider the Ridge their territory.

Panbachimon may appear bored and listless, but she's the boss of Function Farms. She goes about running the place with the same bored and dourlook on her face, but it hides her enthusiasm for agriculture. If you want to get a job or volunteer at the Farm, you ultimately have to answer to her.

Liamon is called the "King of the Grasslands", and with good reason. Liamon controls the most powerful pride in the Grid Grasslands, with both wild and village-dwelling Digimon holding respect for him. If you run afoul of his territory, you may well be considered prey... unless you can find a way to talk yourself out of it. Tribute usually helps, so always carry some meat with you.

[ South Access Island ]
[ Material Jungle ]
[ Material Jungle ]
Material Jungle is a lush, vibrant tropical area where many Insect-species and Plant-species Digimon make their home. Fruits of all kinds grow here, some of which taste excellent while others may have strange effects on whomever eats them, like suddenly talking backwards or turning your skin purple. It rains a good portion of the time, so be prepared for inclement weather. Also, keep your eyes out for quicksand!
Deep in the jungle lies Wayback Temple, an ancient ruin from ages before Access Island's recent settlement. There's plenty of passages to explore here, but those who stay too long may literally find their memories coming back to life to haunt them. Access City Library is willing to pay a bounty in BITS on any ancient tomes and relics one might come across, if you're willing to risk it.
Another point of interest is the Crashed Airship. Once a warship belonging to the D-Brigade crashed here, and now, it lies derelict and consumed by the jungle growth. Bandits routinely come to try and steal the valuable technology that lies within. If you wish to brave the obstacles, you might get something worthwhile yourself.
Eventually, the lush jungle gives way to Bitrot Swamp, where Aquatic and Mutant-species in addition to the Plant and Insect-species make their home. Better hope you don't run afoul of a school of Piranimon! Here, one can find Ebidramon's Eatery, where Digimon can rest up and get a bite to eat... if they're brave enough.

Owner operator of Ebidramon's Eatery at the heart of Bitrot Swamp, Ebidramon is a Digimon who loves, loves, loves cooking and sharing food with others. It's just that Ebidramon's ideas of what's good and what's not might not match up with anyone else's. But where else are you going to find such delicacies as jelly bean jambalaya and mustard pie?

[ Pixel Coast ]
Eventually, the tropical forest gives way to sun, surf, and sand. This is Pixel Coast, where Aquatic-species and all manner of other seagoing Digimon can be found. It never fails to be sunny here (exceptduringtheoddhurricanedon'tworryaboutit), the fish are always biting, and the surf is always up.
The first of the notable landmarks includes Access Port, the seaport where new travellers to Access Island arrive. However, with travel to and from the mainland currently stalled due to the ALIAS crisis, the only trade that's left profitable here are those who go slightly off shore to fish. There's a seafood restaurant and a tavern here as well, where one can get work or simply come to hear the lamentations of old seadogs who can't set sail.
Not far from Access Port is Waypoint Lighthouse, a towering structure that provides light to all incoming vessels. Or... it would, if there were any incoming vessels anymore. Nevertheless, the lighthouse still shines its beacon. On some nights, the beacon even starts changing color as elaborate dance parties are held in the lantern room. When these are held, attendance and drinks are always free.
Next we come to Azure Lagoon, where Digimon come from all over the island to enjoy the beach. The waters are always clear, the waves are always righteous, and it's a great place to surf or swim. For those who don't have the right equipment, Orcamon's Surf Shack is ready to provide you with boards, life vests, and anything else you might need.
Finally, we would be remiss to avoid talking about Lattice Reef, which lies just off Pixel Coast's western shore. Here, a giant coral reef that shines iridescent prevents ships from getting too close. It's a favored spot for scuba divers, but beware, as plenty of predatory Digimon lurk here as well. Those willing to take the risk to go into deeper waters might be rewarded with goods and treasure from scrapped vessels that got too close.

The boss of Access Port, who commands all the ships that dock and launch from it. Once a privateer who sailed the Net Ocean, his old age led him to retire to easier pursuits like managing Access Port. However, the soul of an adventurer still burns inside his DigiCore, and he yearns for the day that travel to other lands can begin again.

The operator of Waypoint Lighthouse and the most awesomely righteous DJ on Access Island. Gawappamon doesn't talk much, and prefers to let the tunes do the communicating for him.

Other Major NPCs
Yggdrasil, Homeros, and Homeostasis
Royal Knights
The Royal Knights are a group of thirteen Digimon who are known for performing great deeds and protecting the security of the Digital World. They are widely believed to personally serve the host computer Yggdrasil, and are charged with dispatching threats that are too powerful for other Digimon to handle.
Their number include:
Ten Warriors
The Ten Warriors are a group of ten Ultimate-level Digimon that, when Lucemon deposed the Holy Beasts, rose up to liberate the Digital World. Neutralizing the "Tempest" program, they gave up their lives to seal Lucemon away in an area of the Digital World that is known as the Dark Area.
Their numbers include AncientGreymon, AncientGarurumon, AncientIrismon, AncientMegatheriumon, AncientBeetmon, AncientVolcamon, AncientMermaimon, AncientTroiamon, AncientWisemon, and AncientSphinxmon. Their data was inherited by a number of Digimon species, and to this day, festivals are held in their honor.
Holy Beasts
The Holy Beasts are five Digimon who ruled the ancient Digital World, dividing it into four cardinal directions and with their leader, Huanlongmon at the center. In addition to their leader, their number include Qinglongmon of the East, Zhuqiaomon of the South, Baihumon of the West, and Xuanwumon of the North.
Their reign came to an end when the angel Digimon, Lucemon, rebelled and unleashed the "Tempest" program, which weakened the Holy Beasts and sent them into hiding. To this day, only Qinglongmon's whereabouts are known, with the other four missing.
Lucemon
A powerful Digimon that is said to have once served Homeostasis in ancient times. Though only a Child-Level, they possessed enough Holy power to make themselves surpass other Ultimates. Though they served benevolently for many years, their hubris grew, and they sought to conquer the Digital World for themselves. Unleashing a program known as "Tempest", they waylaid the Holy Beasts and ascended to ruler of the Digital World. It was only when the Ten Warriors sacrificed themselves to seal Lucemon away did his reign come to an end.
The Dark Area is the part of the Digital World where Lucemon is sealed away. His Holy power has turned dark, and poisons the land around him. Only the data of the most evil Digimon are sent there, where they join Lucemon in torment.
Great Angels
A group of five Digimon who sit at the highest level among the Angel-species Digimon on Terminal Mountain, which is located on the mainland. They claim to have inherited the will of Homeostasis, and have replaced Lucemon as its servants. Each commands a group of angelic Digimon, which they send out into the Digital World to seek out and defeat evil. They consider Dark and Demon-species Digimon their enemies, but are otherwise considered a force for good by the majority of the Digital World.
Their numbers include Seraphimon, Ofanimon, Cherubimon, Rasielmon, and Raguelmon. As Angel-species Digimon walk a tightrope between light and darkness, Raguelmon is charged with eliminating any Angel Digimon that fall from grace.
Olympus Twelve
Four Great Dragons
Though they are less a group and more holders of similar titles, the Four Great Dragons are known far and wide throughout the Digital World. Their numbers include the deposed Holy Beast Qinglongmon, Goddramon, Holydramon, and Megidramon. Their domains are unknown, but they are known for administering challenges to other Dragon-species Digimon, and those who have conquered each Dragon's trial is said to have overcome the "Trial of the Four Great Dragons". To this date, only the two Digimon who fused into the Royal Knight Examon have passed it.
ALIAS
Alias is believed to have somehow played a role in the original fall of Tamer Union due to mentions in some of its recovered systems, and is believed to be a potential reason why Access Island has lost contact with the mainland. It is also Tamer Union's only lead on a possible connection to the distortions and other phenomenon plaguing other worlds. Its current spread is unknown, and Tamers are asked to be on the lookout for appearances of it on Access Island.
